‘For the countries we operate in, we had three different payroll systems, all done by different people. There was no uniformity in terms of process or ownership—it was all pieced together. Now, we have everything in one place with Rippling, which has been amazing,’ Gemma Gilbert, Gamurs’ CFO, noted.

Rippling’s automated payroll reports allow the finance team to forecast workforce costs easily, eliminating the manual reconciliation of different payroll formats and currencies.
‘One of my favourite reports, which is so life-changing but sounds so simple, is an employee list. You can pick the bits you want, and then you click a button that translates all salaries into AUD. Before, that would have taken a very long time,’ Gemma said.

Automated compliance and US tax management
Rippling automates US tax compliance, eliminating the need for HR teams to manually handle state tax filings and payroll processing.
‘We used to spend a good chunk of time dealing with US state taxes. Now, we hardly have any of that—if something comes up, we just say, 'Hey, Rippling support, can you help me with this?' And then they help us, and we move on,’ Gemma said.

Rippling’s dedicated implementation specialists provided hands-on support, ensuring a smooth transition from multiple payroll providers to one centralised platform.
‘We had an implementation manager, Brandon, and he was phenomenal. It's a big process, but we had a clear step-by-step plan, and he really held our hands through the entire thing, so it didn’t feel overwhelming. It took time, of course, but we felt very well guided and supported.’ Gemma mentioned.

Extra HR capabilities with ASO services
As part of a contract renegotiation, Gamurs added Administrative Services Outsourcing (ASO) capabilities. With ASO services in place, Gamurs also expanded their use of Rippling’s tools, integrating custom apps, advanced learning resources, and performance management features to elevate their HR function.
‘When we renegotiated our contract, adding ASO services was massive. I wouldn’t be able to do my role without it, as it would just be too time-consuming. Now, we’re expanding our HR capabilities with custom apps, advanced learning tools, and performance reviews in Rippling, which is really nice. It’s helped us elevate HR as a function,’ Gemma noted.
Rippling has given us so much more visibility and consistency. Having proper processes and structure in place has made a huge difference—from payroll to leave approvals and compliance.
