Rippling Expands India Operations with Second Office

BENGALURU, India (May 19, 2025) — Rippling, a leading business software company, today announced that it has expanded its presence in India with the opening of a second office in Bengaluru, reaffirming its commitment to scaling operations in the region.
The company, valued at $16.8 billion, plans to double its workforce in India from 1,000 to 2,000 employees over the next three years. The expanded office now spans over 100,000 square feet at Embassy Tech Village, one of the most prominent IT parks in the city, and will house teams across engineering, product, sales and customer support.

India is home to Rippling’s largest office outside of its San Francisco headquarters, where its Bengaluru teams work on critical product initiatives as Rippling continues to grow its product offering to serve the enterprise.
“Bangalore has always been a superpower for Rippling,” said Matt MacInnis, Rippling’s Chief Operating Officer. “We grew from 450 employees last year to over 1,000 today, and we’re continuing to scale rapidly. We take on some of our most important product work here, and we intend to keep expanding the autonomy and scope of this team.”
Like Rippling offices in San Francisco, New York, the U.K., and others, Bangalore’s “Think Rooms” or multi-purpose collaboration spaces and bright interior design fosters connection, innovation, and debate.
“The best engineers are excited by solving a combination of hard real-world problems and hard technical problems. I’ve been incredibly impressed with the engineering talent we’ve been able to attract from across India to take on this challenge, and we’ve been expanding the scope of our ambitions for our site in Bangalore as a result,” said Albert Strasheim, Chief Technology Officer.
“We’re building it all here: large scale HR and fintech products, new zero-to-one products in other product verticals, and mission-critical platform and infrastructure systems. With the opening of this new office, we’re excited to continue our investment in providing once-in-a-career growth opportunities for our team, coupled with a delightful employee experience and work environment,” said Albert.

Since launching in India in 2017, Rippling has hired more than 20 former founders and entrepreneurs in India to strengthen its leadership bench. Key hires include Ajay Chandra, principal engineer and former co-founder of Infibeam and Nimish Bhonsale, senior director of engineering and former co-founder of Elda Health. In 2024, Rippling appointed former Walmart executive Mrinal Chatterjee its country head.
