Empowering our workplace heroes: Why Rippling IT stands on its own

As VP of Product for Rippling IT, I lead our mission to build powerful, integrated solutions for the true heroes of the modern workplace: IT owners. Whether you're a solo admin, part of a lean team, or a founder wearing the IT hat, we see you — and we're building for you.
Why we invest in IT solutions
IT administrators are often the invisible force keeping businesses running smoothly. You provision accounts, secure devices, manage offboarding, and enforce security policies—often without recognition until something goes wrong. Our recent Rippling IT superhero page celebrates this critical work, but recognition isn't enough. You deserve better tools.
IT admins carry significant responsibilities: maintaining security, ensuring company-wide productivity, and solving problems quickly. Our commitment is to create solutions that eliminate tedious manual tasks so you can focus on more strategic work.
One natively built unified platform
Rippling IT is a standalone platform, providing flexibility for IT teams to access our powerful solutions without requiring the adoption of our HR and payroll products. Our standalone platform includes:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM): Implement SSO, MFA, conditional access policies, and role-based controls using hundreds of real-time user attributes
- Mobile Device Management (MDM): Secure and manage all endpoints with unified, cross-OS capabilities
- Inventory Management: Automate physical device logistics globally—ordering, shipping, retrieving, and secure storage
Each of these tools works great on its own, but they’re even better when used together — especially when connected with the rest of the Rippling product suite, like our HRIS. You can start with the Rippling products you need most, and can add more as you go. Our goal is to completely alleviate the IT headaches as teammates are onboarded and offboarded.
Recent product updates and future roadmap
We're constantly enhancing our platform, with recent additions including iOS and iPadOS support to our MDM solution. This expansion brings all four major platforms—macOS, Windows, iOS, and iPadOS—under one unified management system, eliminating the fragmentation that creates security risks.
Looking ahead, we're excited about:
- Android support launching later this year, completing our cross-OS coverage
- Expanding our global warehousing capabilities to streamline device logistics
- Enhanced automation capabilities to further reduce manual tasks
A true leader in IT management
Our commitment to excellence hasn't gone unnoticed. Rippling IT is ranked as G2's #1 Single Sign-On (SSO) solution and has achieved Grid Leader status in every IT product category. But more important than industry recognition is the trust our customers place in us:
"With Rippling, I can guarantee to new clients [that] their data is safe. We've removed all room for human error, and I have peace of mind that nothing will slip through the cracks," says Martha D, COO of Reserv.
Sean Edwards, Head of Security at Appcues, adds, “When our customers ask me about Appcues’s security and our onboarding and offboarding process, I can feel really good about the answers that I’m giving them. It’s just automatic.”
Focused on you, building for the future
Rippling IT stands alone as the first solution to provide a single natively built platform for securely managing identity, access, devices, and inventory across the full user lifecycle.
